Tie Backs

                                                CHEAP & EASY TIE BACKS

The sun is shining at last and I'm thankful that we finally got round to putting up a blackout blind in the bedroom last year as although our curtains looked nice they were fairly ineffective at blocking out the light from around 4:30 am on! Practical as the blind is it's definitely no design statement so I've had to come up with a cheap way of dressing the window. Enter eBay and H&M. I left the original curtains up (Ikea) and layered them with 2 new semi sheer cotton printed panels that I found on eBay (originally from Zara Home) I hadn't really thought through the practicalities of adding a second layer but fortunately the panels had tie tops so I was able to interlace them with the existing tabs. Next I found a bit of old ribbon I had knocking about to use as the tie back and stuck up a command hook to latch them on to and keep them from sliding down. Next I raided the H&M accessory department and selected a few floral hair clips in complementing colours (all £1.99) clipped them on to the ribbon and voila!
